Basketball Game Preview: Callaway Chargers vs. Neshoba Central Rockets

The Callaway Chargers are taking a road trip to take on the Neshoba Central Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Callaway will head into Friday's match out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They lost 88-66 to Columbus. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Falcons are ranked first).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Neshoba Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They managed a 55-49 victory over Vicksburg on Friday.

Callaway has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Neshoba Central, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.

Callaway came out on top in a nail-biter against Neshoba Central in their previous matchup on January 10th, sneaking past 49-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Callaway since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
