            The Lynbrook Owls will face off against the Wheatley Wildcats at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Lynbrook knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Wheatley likes a good challenge.
On Wednesday, Lynbrook beat Valley Stream North 13-8. The  win continues a trend for the Owls in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won four in a row.

The team  relied heavily on  Bianca Lobosco, who  went 4-for-5 with three  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emma Mylan, who  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double.
 Lynbrook was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .389. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .300 or higher in seven consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, Wheatley had to hit the road for their first game and  it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Lynbrook by a score of  9-7 back in April.
Lynbrook's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 11-3. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Wheatley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
 Lynbrook skirted past Wheatley  9-7 in their previous matchup  back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Owls since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
