Baseball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

Eastern managed to slip by Rancocas Valley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings lost 12-6 to the Red Devils on Monday. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Devils earlier this season, when they won 10-9.

Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Rancocas Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Eastern will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Bishop Eustace Prep at 3:45 p.m. The Crusaders' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Rancocas Valley, they will host Cherry Hill West at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Red Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
