Volleyball Recap: Jess Larson and Nora Opila Secure Win for Glenbard East + How To Watch

Glenbard East lost to Glenbard South back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Raiders.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Glenbard East got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 17-25, 25-10.

Leading Glenbard East to victory were Nora Opila and Jess Larson. Opila had 14 digs and one assist, while Larson had ten digs and one assist. Those 14 digs gave Opila a new career-high.

Glenbard East's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10. As for Glenbard South, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Glenbard East will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Wheaton North at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glenbard South, they will venture away from home to challenge Fenton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
