Soccer Recap: Amundsen Comes Up Short

Amundsen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 5-1 to the Oswego East Wolves. Mia Solano was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Amundsen's goal came courtesy of Olivia Chier, which was the first she's scored this season.

Amundsen's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Oswego East, they now have a winning record of 1-0-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amundsen will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Payton College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on April 2. The game will give Amundsen their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Oswego East, they and Batavia will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
