Recap: Marshall County Tigers vs. Riverdale Warriors
Even though the Riverdale Warriors scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, the Marshall County Tigers still came out on top. Marshall County strolled past Riverdale with points to spare, taking the game 77-60.
Marshall County was led to victory by Xavier Mosley and Jabrae Howard. Mosley scored 16 points, while Howard scored 18 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Aja Jones was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Marshall County's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Riverdale, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Marshall County will be home for the holidays to greet Hickman County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Hickman County is ranked 126th, while Marshall County is ranked 147th). As for Riverdale, they will head out on the road to face off against Providence Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Providence Christian Academy's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Riverdale has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
