Basketball Recap: Bartlett Takes a Loss

Bartlett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. 2025 welcomed they with a 47-23 loss courtesy of the Streamwood Sabres. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sabres apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Streamwood was led to victory by Ayumi Ishikawa and Brianna Coffey. Ishikawa went 9 for 16 on her way to 20 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals, while Coffey dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. Coffey is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailey Pawlikowski, who posted two points and seven rebounds.

Bartlett's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Streamwood, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Bartlett didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-19 loss against Glenbard South on the 7th. As for Streamwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 69-52 win against Larkin on the 7th.
