Soccer Recap: Elmira Comes Up Short

Elmira had taken Corning-Painted Post down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Express fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 3-2.

Gianna Capilli wasn't going to let Corning-Painted Post walk away unscathed as she scored both of Elmira's goals, bringing her season total up to three goals.

Elmira's loss dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for Corning-Painted Post, the win got them back to even at 2-2-2.

Looking ahead, Elmira will venture away from home to take on Ithaca at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Corning-Painted Post does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
