Basketball Game Preview: Epiphany Falcons vs. Greenfield Knights

The Epiphany Falcons will challenge the Greenfield Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Thursday, Epiphany was beaten by John Paul II Catholic 59-14. The match marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Greenfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cape Fear Academy. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 165th).

This is the second loss in a row for Epiphany and nudges their season record down to 5-10. As for Greenfield, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-10.

Epiphany didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Greenfield in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 41-37 win. Does Epiphany have another victory up their sleeve, or will Greenfield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
