Preview: O'Fallon Panthers vs. Edwardsville Tigers
O'Fallon has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Edwardsville Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully O'Fallon is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Edwardsville in Illinois (O'Fallon is ranked 20th, while Edwardsville is ranked 121st).
O'Fallon stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They put the hurt on Highland with a sharp 54-33 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win O'Fallon has posted since December 29, 2023.
D'Myjah Bolds continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-5 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Carolyn Foster, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and four steals.
While Edwardsville couldn't quite beat Glenwood on Thursday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 31-point defeat they were dealt last Thursday. Edwardsville fell just short of Glenwood by a score of 43-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Edwardsville has suffered yet this season.
O'Fallon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Edwardsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.
