Baseball Recap: Acton-Boxborough Comes Up Short

Acton-Boxborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-5 to the Boston English Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Revolution have suffered since April 9th.

Jackson Healy was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Dong-Yi Lee was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Acton-Boxborough's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Boston English, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Acton-Boxborough will square off against Wayland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Boston English, they will challenge Nipmuc Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
