Recap: Olympian vs. Montgomery
The Olympian Eagles won against the Montgomery Aztecs last Friday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Wednesday. Olympian narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Montgomery 2-1. The result kept Olympian happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 5th.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Diego Valles and
Dylan Loe, who scored both of Olympian's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 16 so far this season.
Olympian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-4-6 record this season. As for Montgomery, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-15-6.
Olympian will head out on the road to take on Chula Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Olympian's last six matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Montgomery, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bonita Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bonita Vista is coming into the game with three straight wins on the road, meaning Montgomery will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
