Baseball Game Preview: Clarke Prep Gators vs. Patrician Academy Saints

Clarke Prep is a perfect 4-0 against Patrician Academy since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Clarke Prep Gators will take on the Patrician Academy Saints at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Clarke Prep took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They never let Hooper Academy get on the board and left with a 12-0 win.

Meanwhile, everything went Patrician Academy's way against Hooper Academy on Friday as Patrician Academy made off with a 10-1 victory.

Bryson Reid made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Reid was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan Carr, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Matthew Mize, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Everything went Clarke Prep's way against Patrician Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2020, as Clarke Prep made off with a 13-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clarke Prep since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
