 Tuesday just wasn't the day for Goldsboro's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost  15-0 to the Eastern Wayne Warriors, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Goldsboro has struggled against Eastern Wayne recently, as their  game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 For Eastern Wayne's part,  Mallory Reed made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). Reed has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season. Reed was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with a  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  Natalia Pierce was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.  Kerintun (KK) Kinley was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Goldsboro's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Eastern Wayne, they now  have a winning record of 6-5.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goldsboro will  face off against Beddingfield at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Beddingfield is coming into the  contest with five straight  defeats at home,  meaning Goldsboro will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  victory. As for Eastern Wayne, they will head out on the road to  take on  Princeton at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Eastern Wayne's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9  runs per game  this season, so Princeton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
