Meanwhile, Hilltop had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 58-24 win over North Baltimore at home. Hilltop has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 27 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Libbie Baker, who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Hilltop's points.
Gorham Fayette's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.4 points per game. As for Hilltop, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
