Recap: Wayne Christian Eagles vs. Neuse Christian Academy Lions
The Wayne Christian Eagles put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Neuse Christian Academy 60-32 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-6.
Neuse Christian Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gracyn Williams, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Little , who scored 9 points.
Wayne Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Neuse Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Wayne Christian will play host again and welcome Cape Fear Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Cape Fear Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 239th, while Wayne Christian is ranked 58th). As for Neuse Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Friendship Christian at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th.
