Southwest EC is 6-1 against Imperial since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. Southwest EC will be strutting in after a victory while Imperial will be coming in after a defeat.

Southwest EC was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene last Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Central 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since March 25th.

Meanwhile, Imperial was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They came up short against Calexico, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-11.

Southwest EC's victory bumped their record up to 13-20. As for Imperial, their loss dropped their record down to 7-20.

Southwest EC was able to grind out a solid win over Imperial in their previous meeting on April 10th, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
