Volleyball Recap: Dunmore Has No Trouble Against Susquehanna

Dunmore lost to Susquehanna back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Bucks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Sabers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bucks.

While Dunmore won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18, 25-23.

Dunmore found their leader in sophomore Elena Piepoli, who had ten digs.

Dunmore was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Susquehanna only served one ace.

Susquehanna's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren Huyck, who had 11 digs and one block. That block was Huyck's first of the season. Camryn Sellitto was another key player, getting 13 digs.

Dunmore's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Susquehanna, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-4.

Coming up, Dunmore will challenge West Scranton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Susquehanna, they will face off against Holy Redeemer at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
