Basketball Recap: Ripley Comes Up Short

Ripley lost against Itawamba Agricultural back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ripley Tigers were dealt a 54-20 defeat at the hands of the Itawamba Agricultural Indians. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ripley has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Itawamba Agricultural, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ripley will head out to challenge Tishomingo County at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th. As for Itawamba Agricultural, they will venture away from home to square off against Shannon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
