Basketball Game Preview: Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers vs. North Greene Spartans

The Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers will challenge the North Greene Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Greene took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Greenfield/Northwestern, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Greenfield/Northwestern made easy work of Lincolnwood and carried off a 56-34 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, North Greene came up short against Pawnee on Tuesday and fell 61-54. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Greenfield/Northwestern pushed their record up to 19-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points over those games. As for North Greene, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-16.

Everything went Greenfield/Northwestern's way against North Greene when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Greenfield/Northwestern made off with a 61-41 victory.
