Game recap

After taking the lead on a Garrett Griffin touchdown run in the second quarter, National Trail (New Paris, Ohio) was up 32-12 at the half.

The Blazers expanded their lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. National Trail scored three times in the third, including once on a Griffin touchdown pass to Phillip White.

Griffin and White were an excellent passing duo during the game. White has now caught three touchdowns this season, while Griffin has thrown 22.

The victory was a completely different match up compared to last season's game between these two teams, which Ansonia (Ohio) took, 69-23.

The win brought National Trail's winning streak to three games. The loss was the fourth in a row for the Tigers.

National Trail (4-1) will play a Cross County game against Arcanum next week, while Ansonia (1-4) will take on Bradford also in a Cross County game.
