Football Recap: Colonie Central's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Colonie Central fought the good fight in their overtime game against Shaker on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 27-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bison. The Wolfpack lost against the Bison in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 55-0 score last time.

Despite the loss, Colonie Central still got an impressive performance from Steven Thomas, who rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 122 yards and one TD.

Having lost for the first time this season, Colonie Central fell to 2-1. As for Shaker, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Colonie Central has already played their next contest, a 34-14 loss against Shenendehowa on the 26th. As for Shaker, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 28-21 defeat against Saratoga Springs on the 26th.
