Basketball Game Preview: Rifle Bears vs. Aspen Skiers

Rifle is 2-8 against Aspen since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Rifle Bears will host the Aspen Skiers at 3:00 p.m.

Rifle lost 61-36 to Basalt on Friday. The game marked the Bears' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Aspen had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.6 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 65-35 win over the Rams. The Skiers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Aspen's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Rifle, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.
