Volleyball Recap: Southeast Starts Season with Win at Home

Southeast took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Gibbs Gladiators with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Seminoles in their matchups with the Gladiators: they've now won eight in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12, 25-19.

Mellise Bush went supernova, getting 31 digs and nine aces. Those 31 digs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaeda Dean, who had seven aces and six digs.

Southeast didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Hardee on the 21st. As for Gibbs, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against St. Petersburg on the 21st.
