Baseball Recap: St. Michael-Albertville Drops Season-High Score on Buffalo

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Michael-Albertville). They blew past the Buffalo Bison 11-5 on Wednesday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Bison recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

St. Michael-Albertville got a great performance from Lincoln Rick as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave Rick a new career-high.

At the plate, Taylan Siens was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lawson Ness, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one double.

St. Michael-Albertville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

St. Michael-Albertville's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Buffalo, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
