Softball Recap: Dakota Gets the Win

Beal City typically has all the answers at home, but on Sunday Dakota proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Aggies 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since April 12th.

Dakota is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for Beal City, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 25-5.

Looking ahead, Dakota will take on Escanaba at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday. The Eskymos' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Beal City, they will square off against Lake City at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
