Basketball Recap: Richton Skates Past Collins with Ease

Richton won the last time they faced Collins and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Richton Rebels blew past the Collins Tigers 62-28. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Richton was led to victory by Nylah Robins and Rakhiya Moody. Robins went 5 for 9 en route to 15 points in addition to six assists and six boards, while Moody went 6 of 9 on her way to 13 points and five steals. Those six assists gave Robins a new career-high. Kalyjai Bolton was another key player, putting up nine points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Richton was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Richton pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Collins, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Richton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-69 loss against Heidelberg on the 16th. Collins has also already played their next matchup, a 54-43 defeat against North Forrest on the 17th.
