Softball Recap: Baird Bears vs. Hermleigh Cardinals
After flying high against Santa Anna last Saturday, Baird came back down to earth. Baird came up short against the Hermleigh Cardinals on Friday, falling 15-4. The Bears were not able to make up for their loss to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in May of 2017.

Cassidy Lucas made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
Baird's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Hermleigh, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
