Volleyball Recap: Box Elder Takes a Loss

Box Elder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the West Field Longhorns, falling 3-0. The Bees were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Longhorns earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While Box Elder was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19, 25-21.

West Field found their leader in freshman Jorie Schiffman, who had seven digs and one assist.

Box Elder's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for West Field, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Box Elder will square off against Olympus at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Field, they will face off against Cyprus at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
