Softball Recap: Marriotts Ridge Extends Winning Streak to Three

Marriotts Ridge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Oakland Mills Scorpions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-0 back in March.

Gianna Peluso was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Angelina Dorsey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Marriotts Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.

Marriotts Ridge's record now sits at 10-5. As for Oakland Mills, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-10.
