The Hubbard Eagles will square off against the Ursuline Fighting Irish at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hubbard is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

Hubbard was handed a six-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Hickory 6-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kaylee Schultz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lauren Komorek, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Layla Songer was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Ursuline was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They fell just short of Perry by a score of 4-2.

Ursuline's defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Hubbard, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Hubbard came out on top in a nail-biter against Ursuline when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 13-12. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Fighting Irish have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
