Soccer Game Preview: James F. Byrnes vs. Boiling Springs

James F. Byrnes hasn't had much luck against Boiling Springs recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Rebels will host the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. James F. Byrnes is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

James F. Byrnes took a four-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Riverside, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rebels never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Friday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but James F. Byrnes were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boiling Springs). They blew past Spartanburg 4-1 on Thursday. The game was close at halftime, but Boiling Springs turned on the heat in the second half with three goals.

James F. Byrnes' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three matches. As for Boiling Springs, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.
