Volleyball Recap: Dieterich Comes Up Short

Dieterich lost against Brownstown/St. Elmo back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Movin Maroons fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Dieterich sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 21-25, 25-21.

Brownstown/St. Elmo found their leader in sophomore Jenna Forbes, who had six digs and four aces. Presley Williams also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Dieterich's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Brownstown/St. Elmo, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dieterich will square off against North Clay at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brownstown/St. Elmo, they will head out to take on Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
