The Fillmore Central Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to Gibbon for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-23 win on the road. The victory was some much needed relief for Fillmore Central as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Fillmore Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaili Head out in front who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Makenna Mccoy, who scored seven points along with five steals.

Gibbon lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Claire Clark, who scored five points along with three steals. Clark hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.

Fillmore Central's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14. As for Gibbon, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fillmore Central will square off against the Huskies at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Heartland is ranked 241st, while the Panthers are ranked 233rd). As for Gibbon, they will head out on the road to challenge the Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Arcadia/Loup City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
