Basketball Recap: JC Bermudez Doral Comes Up Short

JC Bermudez Doral and St. Brendan squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but JC Bermudez Doral had to settle for second. They were dealt a 78-19 defeat at the hands of the St. Brendan Sabres. The match marked the Thunder's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

It was another big night for Benny Fragela, who went 5 of 11 to rack up 14 points along with five boards and five steals for St. Brendan. Fragela is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Teo Martinez was another key player, putting up nine points and seven rebounds.

JC Bermudez Doral's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15. As for St. Brendan, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-7.
