Simsboro was sadly handed a loss on Thursday, but Carlei Wheeler did her best to prevent it. Nobody could stop Wheeler as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Wheeler and Simsboro will take on Choudrant at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time these two faced off, Wheeler and Co. were forced to settle for a 15-0 loss.
