Basketball Game Preview: Columbia Bruins vs. Seton Catholic Cougars

Columbia hasn't had much luck against Seton Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Columbia Bruins are taking a road trip to take on the Seton Catholic Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Columbia knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Seton Catholic likes a good challenge.

Columbia will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating La Center, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Columbia strolled past La Center with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 71-57.

Meanwhile, Seton Catholic entered their tilt with Castle Rock on Friday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victor by a 70-44 margin over the Rockets. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season.

Seton Catholic has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.9 points per game. As for Columbia, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

Columbia took a serious blow against Seton Catholic in their previous matchup on January 9th, falling 87-51. Can Columbia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
