Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Shiloh Christian's Winning Streak

After flying high against Hackett on Monday, Shiloh Christian came back down to earth. The Saints fell 3-1 to the Farmington Cardinals on Tuesday. The Saints' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-16, 20-25, 25-22, 25-22.

Shiloh Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Bristol Bonanno, who had 20 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Unger, who had 23 assists and three digs.

Shiloh Christian's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 12-7-1. As for Farmington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Shiloh Christian is set to challenge their familiar foe Van Buren at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Farmington will face off against rival Alma at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
