Basketball Recap: Lawrence County Comes Up Short on the Road Against Decatur + How To Watch

Lawrence County kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Decatur Red Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 66-41 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Jackson Smith and Player #4 certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Smith posted 11 points in addition to four blocks and three steals, while Player #4 earned 12 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Boyll, who put up 11 points and six boards.

The victory got Decatur back to even at 1-1.

Lawrence County has already played their next matchup, an 80-74 win against Brewer on the 17th. As for Decatur, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-62 victory against Belgreen on the 17th.
