Excelsior Charter made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Academy for Academic Excellence, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles were the clear victors by  a  13-2 margin over the Knights on Tuesday. The  victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.
 Rylie Hunsaker made a splash no matter where she played. She  pitched five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   eight  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Evangeline Archuleta, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run and four  RBI.  Tristen Gonzalez was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 Excelsior Charter  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in five consecutive  contests.
Excelsior Charter's record now sits at 9-7-1. As for Academy for Academic Excellence,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-9-1.
Excelsior Charter will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 3:15  p.m.  on Thursday.
