Aubrey Lyden Game Report: @ Shrine Catholic

Aubrey Lyden turned in nothing short of a gem on Wednesday, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and eight unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her fourth in a row with one or fewer earned runs. For the year, she has an ERA of 2.27 over 37 innings pitched.

Looking ahead, Lyden and Our Lady of the Lakes will head out on the road to take on Imlay City at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sadly, Lyden's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Lakers' five-game streak of wins on the road. With the streak broken, Lyden and the Lakers surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Thursday's match.
