Sequoyah waltzed into their match on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-56 win over the Pope Greyhounds. This was a revenge game for the Chiefs: when they faced off against the Greyhounds back in December of 2024, they had to take a 83-76 loss.

Sequoyah is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for Pope, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-12.

Sequoyah will welcome Creekview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pope, they will face off against Woodstock at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
