Softball Recap: Fremont Eagles vs. Garrett Railroaders
Fremont extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 5-5 in the process. They lost 15-9 to the Garrett Railroaders. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Railroaders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Lexi Stevens was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Chloe Verdin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs.
As for Garrett, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games.
