Basketball Recap: Bastrop Comes Up Short

Bastrop was the 52-50 winner over Richwood when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Bastrop took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Richwood on Tuesday. Bastrop has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Bastrop still got an impressive performance from Alana Myles, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was Myles' seventh in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Michelle Simms, who posted four points and four steals.

Bastrop now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Richwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season.
