Softball Recap: Sparrows Point Comes Up Short at Home Against Harford Tech

Sparrows Point unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 7-1 to the Harford Tech Cobras on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pointers of the 7-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Sparrows Point saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allie Roberts, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The win got Harford Tech back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Sparrows Point is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will challenge John Carroll at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Harford Tech, they will take on Dundalk at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
