Softball Recap: Weber Takes a Loss

Weber extended their losing streak to seven on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 3-13 in the process. They lost 16-7 to the Syracuse Titans. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Aliya Rhees was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

As for Syracuse, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-9. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

On Syracuse's side, Jazmine Prathan was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Olivia Brown, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weber will head out to square off against Layton at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Syracuse, they will venture away from home to challenge Davis at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Darts will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight.
