Soccer Game Preview: Thunderbird vs. Coconino + Official Tickets

The Thunderbird Titans will venture away from home to take on the Coconino Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thunderbird's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Thunderbird took a four-goal loss the last time they faced off against Deer Valley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Titans' defense stepped up to hand the Skyhawks a 1-0 shutout back in December of 2025. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Thunderbird were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Coconino made sure to put some goals up on the board against Shadow Mountain on Tuesday. They blew past the Matadors 10-0. Coconino haven't had any issues with Shadow Mountain recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The win got Thunderbird back to even at 3-3. As for Coconino, their record now sits at 10-1-1.

Thunderbird might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Coconino in their previous matchup back in January of 2025. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
