Soccer Game Preview: Grant Community vs. Solorio

The Grant Community Bulldogs will be taking part in a tournament against the Solorio Sun Warriors at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

In Thursday's Canine Competition, Grant Community had to make due with a tie. They and Prairie Ridge finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Thursday. The result (or lack thereof) marked Grant Community's first draw of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Violet Mak, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Solorio waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The result was nothing new for Solorio, who have now won five matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Solorio pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. Grant Community's draw gives them a new season record of 2-4-1.
