Basketball Game Preview: Schaeffer Academy Lions vs. Houston Hurricanes

The Schaeffer Academy Lions will head out to take on the Houston Hurricanes at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Schaeffer Academy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Schaeffer Academy challenged LeRoy-Ostrander on Friday. Schaeffer Academy took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of LeRoy-Ostrander.

Meanwhile, Houston also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Chatfield by a score of 64-57. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Schaeffer Academy will have to contain Carter Geiwitz as he made an impact in Houston's last game. He dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. Morgan Rohweder was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Schaeffer Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Houston, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Schaeffer Academy suffered a grim 58-38 defeat to Houston in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Schaeffer Academy was down 58-38.
