The Escondido Cougars will take on the Canyon Crest Academy Ravens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Escondido is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering El Camino just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Wildcats.

While Escondido was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-9, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Canyon Crest Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Canyon Crest Academy took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-12, 25-13.

Escondido better focus on containing Jaz Damineni and Enke Lou as the pair were huge in Canyon Crest Academy's win. Damineni had eight aces, while Lou had seven aces. Damineni is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Canyon Crest Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Canyon Crest Academy's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Escondido, they now have a losing record of 12-13.
